MedicalSCOPE HR (dermoscope) is the digital videodermoscope system that redefines the portable concept with respect to systems in its category, combining extreme versatility, high quality in capturing images and great simplicity of use.

EXTREME VERSATILITY

MedicalSCOPE HR videodermoscope may be connected directly to any  computer (laptop or desktop) equipped with a FireWire digital port. This feature helps further limit the costs of the entire system, which are already low, since the buyer can even use his own computer, thus avoiding buing a new one. Moreover the MedicalSCOPE HR does not need an analog/digital converter fitted between the probe-handpiece and computer: digitalisation is in fact carried out inside the handpiece itself; this characteristic therefore allows the configuration of a truly portable videodermoscope system by combining the MedicalSCOPE HR with a laptop computer.

HIGH quality in capturing images

The MedicalSCOPE HR videodermoscope allows the capture of very high quality images since it is fitted, a unique characteristics in its kind, with a capturing sensor (CCD) with a real resolution of 1024x768 pixel live: the CCD is in fact composed of 786,432 effective photosensitive microcells which digitalise the live image and then transmit a flow of photograms with large dimensions (1024x768 points) in real time to the computer, on a FireWire digital channel. The FireWire digital connection allows the quality and fluidity of the live images to be maintained in the passage from the capturing source to the monitor.

GREat simplicity of use

The MedicalSCOPE <enterprise> software provided gives immediate access to all the functions most often used gy  the dermatologist during routine examinations, in dermoscopic analysis, in the mapping and follow-up pigmented lesions. The softwere thus designed, the interchangeable push-pull optics, the absences of on-off and regulating switchess, the remote footswitch pedal for capturing the photograms to be stored, make the MedicalSCOPE HR digital videodermoscope system quick an easy to use, while representing its most distinctive and competitive characteristics.

PROFESSIONAL configuration

The PROFESSIONAL configuration is the most essential and therefore allows the user to transform his own laptop or desktop computer into a powerful digital videodermoscope station. It is composed of the digital handpiece, the remote footswitch pedal for capturing photograms, the preferred optics and the MedicalSCOPE <enterprise> software.
 

MOBILE configuration

The MOBILE configuration contemplates the addition of a latest-generation portable computer to the PROFESSIONAL package.
 

WORKSTATION configuration

The WORKSTATION configuration is the top of the range and presents the PROFESSIONAL package preinstalled on a medical trolley with the following characteristics: -Certified medical trolley; -Dimensions 110x60x50 (110 cm: height of the monitor shelf); -Base with built-in standard multiple socket; -Antistatic wheels dia. 125 mm with parking brake; -Fold-away keyboard compartment; -Adjustable support arm for LCD monitor with Gas Spring System; -DVI-D digital connection between the LCD monitor and the computer; -Desktop computer of the latest genaration; -Printer with photographic resolution in hexachrome;

SOFTWARE FOR FILING MEDICAL ELECTRONIC IMAGES

MedicalSCOPE <enterprise> software allows:
-Storing and management of a patients master file;
-Comparison of the captured images at a later date;
-Measurements and analysis (colour analysis, profilometric analysis, etc.) of the captured images;
-Storage of the position of the captured images (for example moles and pigmented lesions in general) on the human morphological really 3D body map;
-Research on the captured images starting from their position on the map;
-Compiling, issuing and printing of personalised medical reports;
-Importing of images from files, scanner or CD;
-Display and enlargement of the images with Enhanced-Digital-Zoom technology which allows an exellent display of the image (without grain), even with enlargement factors higher than the original resolution.

Access to the software and to the database is protected by a user name and password. The software has been planned and developed to work with maximum efficiency even in a network: in fact, the system easily allows the management of controlled user access, data backup and concurrent access in conditions of simultaneous connection to the database from several terminals.
